CASE STUDY
We Bought Golf
Objective:
To maintain fossil fuels' relevance by associating them with everyone’s favourite cultural icons: golfers.
Approach:
Atmospheric brilliantly decided to link fossil fuels with golf, a sport known for its leisurely pace and love of open green spaces. We were able to turn top professional golfers into fossil fuel ambassadors by showing a different kind of green: money.
Execution:
We made sure every item of clothing the golfers wore carried our company logo, including their socks and underpants. We designed custom electric golf carts that emitted fake smoke, showcasing the power of fossil fuels, and rigged golf balls to randomly explode in fiery bursts for added effect.
Results:
The unexpected association of golf and fossil fuels sparked countless conversations and memes, keeping fossil fuels in the limelight where they belong.
